Mental Health Information

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

People call to talk about lots of things: substance abuse, economic worries, relationships, sexual identity, getting over abuse, depression, mental and physical illness, and loneliness, to name a few.

Our hope for this course is that you will become empowered to play a vital role in suicide prevention. This course was developed in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs and is presented by Dr. Megan McCarthy, Deputy Director, Suicide Prevention. You will develop a general understanding of the problem of suicide in the United States; understand how to identify a Veteran who may be at risk for suicide; and, finally, know what to do if you identify a Veteran at risk. Each of us has the opportunity to be that one person who makes a difference–the person who asks the question that can save a Veteran’s life, or the life of anyone struggling with the thoughts of suicide. Using the simple steps of S.A.V.E., we can all make a difference and #BeThere.

Message Just For You...

A Personal note to you: It our preference to offer Christian organizations that can help you in your time of need. However we were unsuccessful in finding any national organizations that could offer as much or more resources than the organizations that we have listed below, with that said please know that God has not abandoned you although it may feel like it right now.  Know that you are never alone. And know that we are praying for God to intercede in your situation with healing, comfort, protection, recovery, and His grace. You may feel right now that you can never overcome your situation or circumstance but know as a survivor of both childhood abuse and molestation it is possible.♥

Scriptures To Help On Your Journey:

God’s Everlasting Love

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”  No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~Romans 8:31-39 esv
